Terms of Service

By accessing or using The Weekenders Project ("Platform," "Service," "we," "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

To use our Platform, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Be legally capable of entering into contracts
• Not be prohibited from using our services under applicable law
• Not have been previously banned from our Platform

You must create an account to use most features. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Keep your account information current
• Maintain the security of your password
• Accept responsibility for all activity under your account
• Notify us immediately of unauthorized access

The Weekenders Project is a social platform for adults to discover local events and venues, plan going-out experiences, and connect with other members around shared interests in nightlife, dining, and entertainment. Our Platform provides tools for social coordination and activity planning. It is not a dating service, romantic matchmaking service, or escort service, and may not be used as such.

Our services include:

• Member profiles and discovery
• Direct messaging and group communication
• Event discovery, creation, and RSVPs
• Social coordination tools, including availability posting
• AI-assisted going-out planning
• Friend connections and household accounts
• Partner venue and business profiles
• Location-based discovery

We offer different membership levels with varying features:

• Free Demo: Limited features to explore the platform
• Paid Membership: Full access to all features
• Verified Membership: Enhanced trust through identity verification

You agree to use our Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You will:

• Treat other members with respect
• Provide accurate information about yourself
• Use the Platform for its intended purpose — social coordination, going-out planning, and connecting with other adults around shared interests in events, venues, and nightlife
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

You agree NOT to:

Identity and Authenticity

• Create false or misleading profiles
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Use someone else's photos without permission
• Misrepresent your age, gender, or relationship status

Harmful Behavior

• Harass, bully, or intimidate other members
• Send unsolicited sexual or romantic advances
• Stalk or follow members in real life
• Make threats or promote violence
• Discriminate based on protected characteristics

Commercial and Spam

• Use the Platform for commercial solicitation
• Send spam or bulk messages
• Promote products, services, or businesses
• Recruit for other platforms or services

Technical Abuse

• Attempt to access other users' accounts
• Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools
• Interfere with Platform operations
• Circumvent security measures
• Reverse engineer our software

Illegal Activities

• Post illegal content
• Facilitate illegal transactions
• Infringe intellectual property rights
• Violate others' privacy rights

All content you post must:

• Be accurate and not misleading
• Not contain nudity or sexually explicit material
• Not promote illegal activities
• Not contain hate speech or discrimination
• Not violate others' intellectual property rights
• Be appropriate for all adult audiences

You retain ownership of content you post ("User Content"). By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, sublicensable license to display, store, process, and use your content to operate, moderate, promote, and improve the Platform — even after your profile is deleted or terminated (for legal, archival, or moderation purposes).

We may remove content that:

• Violates these Terms
• Is reported by other users
• Is determined inappropriate by our moderation team
• Is required to be removed by law

You are solely responsible for your User Content. We do not endorse or guarantee the accuracy of any User Content.

We strive to maintain a safe environment through:

• Profile review and approval
• Content moderation
• User reporting system
• Account verification options
• Blocking and privacy features

For your safety, we recommend:

• Not sharing personal contact information too quickly
• Meeting in public places for first meetings — especially when connecting with members you do not already know
• Telling someone where you're going, who you're meeting, and when you expect to return
• Arranging your own transportation to and from any meeting with a new connection
• Trusting your instincts — leave any situation that feels uncomfortable
• Reporting suspicious behavior promptly through the Platform's reporting tools
• When connecting through Social Coordination Features, be aware that verification confirms account activity, not character or intent

While we work to maintain safety, we cannot guarantee the conduct of members or the accuracy of information they provide. You release The Weekenders Project from any claims arising from your interactions with other members, whether online or in-person at events. You use the Platform at your own risk.

We do not conduct criminal background checks on members. Verification confirms identity only, not character or criminal history.

The Weekenders Project supports couple and household accounts, allowing two members to link their profiles as a household unit. Both members must independently agree to these Terms and consent to the linkage.

Both members of a linked household share equal responsibility for conduct under their respective accounts. Each individual remains personally responsible for their own actions on the Platform.

Either member may request to unlink a household account at any time by contacting support or through the account settings. Unlinking does not automatically delete either account.

The Weekenders Project provides tools that allow members to discover events, organize gatherings, and coordinate social activities. When events or activities are organized by members rather than by The Weekenders Project directly, we are not the organizer, host, or operator of those events. We provide a communication and coordination platform only.

Members who create events through our Platform ("Event Hosts") are solely responsible for:

• The planning, operation, and conduct of their events
• Ensuring their events comply with all applicable laws, including those governing alcohol

service, venue capacity, and public gatherings

• Managing who attends and enforcing appropriate conduct at their events
• Any consequences arising from their event, including injury, property damage, or disputes

The Weekenders Project provides no guarantee regarding the quality, safety, or legality of member-hosted events. Attendance at any member-hosted event is voluntary and at your own risk.

Event Hosts may set visibility controls that limit who can view or RSVP to their events. Hosts bear responsibility for their visibility choices and for managing attendance appropriately. Setting an event to a restricted visibility level does not transfer any organizational responsibility to The Weekenders Project.

All Platform Terms and Community Guidelines apply to events organized through or connected to the Platform. Members who violate these Terms in connection with a Platform-facilitated event may have their accounts suspended or terminated.

We are not liable for cancellations, changes, or issues arising from events hosted by members or third parties. For events directly organized by The Weekenders Project, we will make reasonable efforts to notify affected members of material changes.

Certain Platform features allow members to post their social availability, going-out plans, or interest in connecting with other members for real-world activities ("Social Posts"). These features are provided as communication tools to facilitate member connections. The Weekenders Project does not organize, supervise, or take responsibility for any in-person activity, meeting, or gathering that results from member use of these features.

When you use Social Coordination Features, you acknowledge and agree that:

• You are voluntarily choosing to post information about your plans and availability
• You are voluntarily choosing to connect with other members you may not know personally
• Any in-person meeting or activity that results from a Platform connection is entirely your

own responsibility

• The Weekenders Project is not a party to any arrangement, agreement, or activity between

members

• You will exercise reasonable personal safety precautions when meeting other members in person

While we maintain trust and verification systems, The Weekenders Project does not screen, investigate, or vouch for members who connect through Social Coordination Features. Phone verification and profile requirements confirm that a member has provided a valid contact and maintains an active account — they do not constitute a background check, identity verification, or endorsement of a member's character, intentions, or conduct.

When meeting other members in person, we strongly encourage you to:

• Meet for the first time in a public venue with other people present
• Inform a trusted person of your plans, location, and expected return time
• Arrange your own transportation to and from the meeting location
• Trust your instincts — leave any situation that feels uncomfortable
• Use the Platform's blocking and reporting tools if you experience concerning behavior

before or after a meeting

These are recommendations, not guarantees of safety. Your in-person safety is your responsibility.

Social Coordination Features may not be used to:

• Solicit or arrange commercial sexual services of any kind
• Facilitate human trafficking or any form of coercion
• Target or pursue members who have blocked or declined to connect with you
• Misrepresent your identity, availability, or intentions to other members
• Arrange activities that violate any applicable law

Violations will result in immediate account termination and may be reported to appropriate authorities.

Paid memberships are billed on the cycle selected at purchase (monthly or annually). By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees to your payment method.

Subscription fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at [email protected] within 14 days of the charge.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to paid features until that date.

We may change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

All Platform content not submitted by users — including logos, software, design, text, and graphics — is owned by The Weekenders Project and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute our content without express written permission.

If you submit suggestions, ideas, or feedback about the Platform, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use that feedback without obligation or compensation to you.

Before filing a legal claim, you agree to contact us and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.

Any dispute not resolved informally will be resolved through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Arbitration will be:

• Conducted in Houston, Texas
• Decided by a single arbitrator
• Limited to individual claims (no class actions)

The following may be brought in court:

• Small claims court matters
• Intellectual property disputes
• Injunctive relief for violations

YOU AGREE TO RESOLVE DISPUTES INDIVIDUALLY AND WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN CLASS ACTIONS.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles.

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at [email protected]. Upon deletion, your profile will be removed from public view. Certain data may be retained for legal, safety, or moderation purposes as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or permanently terminate your account at our sole discretion, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, pose a risk to other members, or for any other reason we deem necessary to protect the Platform or its community.

Upon termination, your right to access the Platform ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including Sections 4, 7A, 10, 11, 12, and 13 — will survive.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines, constitute the entire agreement between you and The Weekenders Project regarding your use of the Platform.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of that right or provision.

You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights without restriction.

Verified membership is obtained through a live, moderated video identity session conducted by Platform staff. Verification confirms that you are who you represent yourself to be. It does not constitute a background check or endorsement of your character.

Verified members gain access to additional features, higher trust indicators on their profile, and priority in certain discovery algorithms. These privileges are tied to continued compliance with these Terms.

Verified status may be revoked at any time if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have misrepresented yourself, violated these Terms, or acted in a manner inconsistent with the spirit of the Platform. Revocation does not entitle you to a refund.
